Overview of TEGEL AIRPORT (TXL) Berlin Hotels

Built during the Berlin Airlift in 1948, Tegel Airport is located eight kilometres north of the Berlin central station, connected by bus TXL. Air Berlin flies from terminal C whereas all other airlines operate from A and B. Tegel is known for its convenience and efficiency, and the unique hexagon shape of terminals A and B makes walking distances short. It is due to close in 2011 for the expansion of Schonefeld Airport.
